Winter time calls for long hours indoors lots of movies and snuggles, and TONS of built of energy for kids just waiting to be unleashed! We have put together our favorite Winter Time Boredom Busters so that those long hours indoors can be entertaining and educational! And let’s be real, give us Mom’s a minute or two of peace. Our favorite way to pick which activity we do is to make and pick from our “No More Bored Jar”. We write all of our favorite activities from the below list down and take turns picking!
Winter Activities for Kids
Build a Frosty Snowman — Seriously craft foam and water! They can build him over and over! Branch out and make rainbows or landscapes! This entertains my girls for hours!
Bath Time Activities – – Sometimes breaking up the monotony of a bad helps by breaking a routine with something different! Here are 18 of our favorite bath activities! Including gardening in the tub!
Winter Sensory Bins — These are great make ahead sensory bins for both toddlers and older kids to pull out when you need to distract little hands for awhile!
Masking Tape Maze — This is amazing! Build a maze big or small out of masking tape on the floor, take a toy car and let the kids drive the maze until they find a way out!
2 Ingredient Cloud Dough — These are 2 ingredients everyone keeps on hand! Mix them up and watch them play for hours! Great for little hands that are still putting everything in their mouth too! Totally non Toxic!
Want to start the day off wacky? Prank your kids — These easy and fun ways will be sure to kick off your day with laughter!
Recycled Paper Garland — This is a great way for kids to display artwork! Make garland and them give their room a make-over!
Obstacle Course — Use existing furniture and items from around that house. The kids have just as much fun setting it up as they do racing through it! This is a great energy burner!
Pom-Pom Pluck — This is another way for kids to make and then play their own game! Great before dinner activity.

Paint with Trucks — This is brilliant and boys and girls will love making tracks! My favorite is to grab a roll of butcher paper and join them!
