No More Bored Jar - The Realistic Mama

If you have kids, you NEED this idea: The No Bored Jar! Currently, it is raining monkeys and pigs outside! And with that, my kids are a little on the monkey side too! Before this mama goes crazy, we are starting something new and fun.

Enter the No BORED Jar! It’s a fantastic go-to idea when you have no clue what to do with your own little monkeys! It’s pretty easy to make.

You’ll need:

large craft sticks

food coloring & vinegar (optional)

glitter spray

jar

yarn or washi tape

Start by dying your craft sticks. I combined enough vinegar and food coloring to cover them.

We picked blue for ours! Let them soak for ten minutes or until dyed to your preferred color. I added glitter spray (found it at the dollar store!) to add a little extra pizazz to it.

Next think of several fun ideas to do on a rainy day and write them on each craft stick.

Some of ours are:

dance party

colored bubble bath

melted crayon art

scavenger hunt

build a fort

Wrap colored yarn or washi tape around your jar and tada! You’re all set! Now grab your munchkins and let the indoor rainy day fun begin!!
