If you’re a regular here {like one of our awesome email subscribers} then you know that sometimes we like to do things outside the box, like using a golf ball as a paintbrush. Today we have another awesome substitute for the paint brush… *pause for dramatic effect*… coffee filters. You’re gonna fall in love with coffee filter crafts.
Sometimes art is more about the process than the end result but with this awesome craft you don’t have to choose, you get both!
Materials:
- Coffee Filters
- Paint
- Rubber Bands or Twist Ties
Directions:
- Squirt about a tablespoon or two of paint into the middle of a coffee filter.
- Gather all the edges together and using a rubber band or a twist tie to secure around the middle so it’s holding the paint in.
- That’s it, they’re ready to paint, stamp and splotch. For even more awesomeness you can put globs or lines of paint on a paper and smear it around with your “paintbrush.”
We would love to hear what you think, get out your coffee filters and try it out and then come back and tell us all about it, so before you leave be sure to connect:

We don’t normally paint inside the house. Okay, we never do but I’d make an exception with these paint brushes. Cool!

Cool idea! Aren’t coffee filters wonderful?!? We always liked to color on them with markers and then use a squirt bottle to spray them with water… Turns out pretty cool, also.
That’s a great craft as well! Love the endless possibilities, especially when you just let the kids be creative and have free range to try and explore different crafts and different ways!
Giving it a try with my grandkids right now!
