You Are My Sunshine Hand Print Keepsake

When I think of keepsakes I tend to think of things that I want to put away in a box to pull out at a later time reminisce about the great memories during that time! We love Baby Memory Boxes, but sometimes I like to have a visual reminder that my kids are still little, and to enjoy the sunshine that is their personalities now! This awesome DIY You Are My Sunshine hand print keepsake is a great way to display how little their hands are, and a super adorable craft to hang in their room!

You Are My Sunshine Keepsake:

What you will need:
– Yellow Paint
– Canvas or Foam Board
– Tiny hands

In order to get the sun in a half circle we first traced a half circle by laying a dinner plate down on the canvas. We then let the kids paint in the “body” of the sun. Next the Fun Part! Liberally paint their hands with the yellow paint then place them on the canvas as the rays of the sunshine!

Once the Sunshine was dried, we added the words later “You are my Sunshine”! It’s that simple and that cute! Don’t forget to date your work so you remember!
