Transitions can be hard on our little ones, and on parents too. Life changes so quickly in the early years, and there are so many things that never crossed my mind when I first held our sweet little baby girl a year ago. Things like. . .
1: Where she will go to college
2: What kind of car she might drive
3: If she’ll have bigger feet than me 🙂 (I have tiny feet!)
4: What big books she might love
5: Her least favorite foods (Would it be mushrooms? Potatoes? Tomatoes?)
6: How to transition her to toddler foods
Holding her a year ago just made my heart beat faster and swoon with so much love for her. I guess I got a little caught up in enjoying all the days that felt so incredibly long yet short all at once. It’s such a puzzling thing, how you can be trudging through the day, wondering how it’s not even lunch time yet (let alone bedtime!) and all of a sudden, you blink and they are six months old, and then they are turning a year! How does that happen?! Part of me just wants to hold her a little longer, but part of me is excited for the milestones she is going through!
