I love pipe cleaner crafts!
As a kid I loved them because you could twist and bend them into so many different things. As a mom I now love them because they are a cheap way to entertain the kids and are awesome for fine motor development.
I kept seeing pipe cleaner crafts circle around Pinterest but had yet to try the one with the noodle strainer, until yesterday. And now I can’t believe I waited so long, the kids love it! I handed the kiddos a bag of pipe cleaners and a noodle strainer and let them go to town.
They built bridges, tunnels, antennas, twisters and more. Once it was complete it turned into a robot helmet and we even rocked the robot dance.
For the older kids the fine mesh strainer was amazing, for younger kids the plastic strainer with bigger holes seemed to work better.
Their attention span on the project was way longer than I would have though {I always love when activities surprise me like that} and afterward they were so proud of their work.
Note: Don’t plan spaghetti for dinner because your kids will, more than likely, want to keep their project on display for, at least, a couple of days.
