Here’s how I made over $85,000 working part-time in 2018…

In 2014, I started a blog/website to test if a stay-at-home mom could make money online “blogging”. I put blogging in quotes because blogging is totally different than what I used to think of it.

The #1 question I always get is how do you make money blogging? Followed by how do you start a blog?

How do you make money blogging?

The awesome part about this particular side business (besides the fact it makes over full-time income with part-time hours) is that you’re creating PASSIVE income and can be done from ANYWHERE.

My husband was able to quit his full-time job, we were able to buy an RV and travel the U.S. for 8 months because of our blogging income.

There are endless ways to make money blogging but the ones that have worked best for me have been…

1. Advertisement Revenue (these are the ads that you occasionally see on my sidebar, etc.) I make between $1000-$3000 a month through these ads. The more pageviews/readers I get the more I make on ads.
2. Affiliate Income (this is when I recommend amazing products and make a certain percent if that item sells. The price is the same for my readers but the company pays me for referring someone to them. Amazon has an affiliate program that is easy to get started with.)
3. Sponsored Posts (when a company hires me to write a blog post and incorporate their product into a natural blog post. For example, a company who sells kid’s markers might hire me to create a kid’s craft post and include their markers in the post. There are several third party websites you can join that help connect bloggers with big brands for sponsored blog posts and/or sponsored social media shares. These can pay extremely well (anywhere from $50/$100 when you’re first starting up to several thousand dollars per post.)
4. Products You Create (I didn’t create my first product until 2 years into blogging. I took several of my most popular posts, added some additional content and created my first e-book. A few months later I created my first course based on the needs and feedback of my readers. It wasn’t anywhere near as complicated as I thought it would be.)

And that’s just to name a few! The possibilities are truly endless.

I know other bloggers who make great money through freelance writing, virtual assistant work, etc. It’s amazing the doors that start to open once you start moving forward.
