The 2015 NFL Season has arrived! And let’s be real – when it comes to the NFL, I’m all about da bears, ’bout da bears. Many of my favorite family memories are from game days – gathering around the TV to cheer on our team, refilling snacks during commercial breaks, and then everyone piling outside after the game to recreate our own version in the backyard.
One of the best parts of game day is getting everything ready, and that includes putting together the Perfect Game-Day Outfit. Orange and Navy are the best colors when it comes to incorporating my fan style into everyday outfits! Disclaimer: I’m not just a Bears fan because of the colors. But, it doesn’t hurt. 🙂 Check out these three ideas for styling your fan gear into tasteful and fun game-day outfits!
#1: Pair with a skirt.
Skirts give you so much flexibility, especially at the beginning of the season when you can still have some pretty hot days. You can go short skirt, maxi skirt, or something fancier for an evening out. I have this fantastic orange summer dress, so I just layer a t-shirt over it, and voila! Wedges complete this look – perfect for relaxing with friends at home or going out to watch the game on a big screen. Warning: You might have to kick off the shoes to get down and dirty in the yard with your kids, after the game.
#2: Add accessories!
There are so many fun ways to do this, from purses to shoes to jewelry to scarves! Once it turns to fall, you can never go wrong adding a scarf to an easy t-shirt-and-jeans outfit.
You can wrap it around your neck, OR try using it as a bright and colorful belt. Team colors only, of course! And NFLshop.com even sells baby outfits and accessories – bibs, bottles, cute little hats – so little one can be all decked out too!
#3: Bundle up with a team hoodie.
On my agenda this fall? Heading to Soldier Stadium to see the Bears in person! Of course, this means going to Chicago. In late fall or winter. Trust me – I’ll need a way to bundle up! The NFLshop.com had these fantastic fur lined Bears hoodies and I just had to get one.
I love that I won’t have to compromise my fan status by covering up my t-shirt with a heavy coat! Try layering with a thermal shirt or sweater underneath for those extra cold days.

Don’t forget the snacks!
