I love making home cooked meals for my family but occasionally I need a break. To keep myself from burning out we now have a weekly out-to-eat night. It’s become, not only a fun tradition, but also, a crucial part of keeping sanity in our house. The best part is, after a night off from cooking I come back refreshed and ready to go!
When I say “out-to-eat” it’s actually more like pick up (or delivery) and eat at home with a movie! Because with a little one under 2, it’s a lot easier to eat at home than entertain and corral at a restaurant. I want both a night off from cooking and a chance to relax and spend a little extra time with my family! So “out-to-eat” really just means me not cooking and having a fun family night instead.
One of my new favorite is Papa John’s Garden Pizza.
A little pizza and some veggies makes for a guilt-free pleasure! Plus I love their commitment to better ingredients, with fresh, never frozen original dough and no cheap ingredients. It’s a small, easy way for me to choose a healthier pizza without having to make it myself. And with Papa John’s you can even order online!
If you don’t already, give yourself a night off! And don’t forget to use paper plates for easy clean up.
