I’m just an ordinary mom.
A few years ago I started a blog (I had zero tech knowledge), within 18 months I was making enough my husband was able to quit his job.
If I can do it anyone can.
I started publishing monthly income reports on my blog to help show others the potential that is out there + how to start. The blog world is unique in that it’s not a competition, rather there is always room for more awesome individuals – like you!
Blogging can be a great way to create extra income for your family, it’s also a great way to promote and grow your current business if you have one (photography, Etsy business, etc.).
Last month, in November 2017, I made $9879.92 blogging.
I average between 10-20 hours a week on my blog. Occasionally during a busy launch I’ll work 30, and some weeks I work as little as 5. It’s super fun how flexible blog hours can be.
I made the money through the following…
- Advertisements: $2,805.00
- Sponsored Posts: $2550
- Affiliate Income: $2,070.97
- Products I’ve Created: $2453.95
My next goal is to set myself up so that I can work 10 months out of the year, and take 2 months off each year to travel as a family. Blogging income is set up so a large majority of it can be passive income! 2 years ago we took 3 months off after our second child was born and we still made money.
But enough about me, I want to help you get started and mold your future the way you want it to be…

It sounds like we both started blogging around the same time, roughly. I’m currently averaging about $1,000 per month.
I’m curious – what is your primary way of securing sponsored posts? Do you work with a network, pitch to companies, or do they seek you out?
For sponsored posts I highly recommend joining 3rd party companies to connect you. Companies like: IZEA (http://izea.com/r/Hqg affiliate link), TapInfluence, Find Your Influence, Acorn Influence, Massive Sway, etc. I do the majority of mine through those. I also get direct email offers and have reached out to some of my favorite brands as well.

About how many page views did you get in November to earn that much from ad sources? I have Adchoice as well!
We had just over 250,000 pageviews and AdThrive helping us manage our ads. We’ve had months with over 1,000,000 but we’re learning that income is not always tied to pageviews if you create products and/or learn affiliate marketing.
