Move the playground inside? Go camping in the winter? Why not?! Maybe not a whole playground but why not a slide. Maybe don’t camp in the snow but why not set the tent up in your living room?
This winter we are working with Horizon, once again, to encourage family time! And why not make that family time unforgettable while we’re at it? Today we’re sharing 7 out-of-the-box, totally awesome, indoor winter activities your kids will go ecstatic about!
7 totally awesome indoor winter activities for kids
1. Indoor Slide!
Who’s says slides are only for outside? We washed ours and brought it inside for the winter months, my daughter was over the moon excited! You should totally do it too!
2. Winter Campout in the Living Room!
Set up a tent in your living room (or make a fort, see #7 below), grab your sleeping bags and flashlights, pack some fun “camping” snacks and enjoy a sleepover in your toasty warm home while still getting the fun bonding benefits of camping with your kids!
For our camping snacks we did water bottles, Horizon Fruit Snacks and of course some chocolate, mini marshmallows and Horizon Snack Grahams.
This is amazing! Build a maze big or small out of masking tape on the floor, take a toy car and let the kids drive the maze until they find a way out!

7. Ultimate DIY Forts for Kids!
There is something about forts that just light up a kids day. My daughter loves any kind of fort, I can literally just drape a blanket over a table and she’ll play inside it for hours! But if you have older kids they might be looking for something a little more advanced, like these Ultimate DIY Forts.
