Time to Hit the Outdoors
Once you’ve had your fun working on projects, it’s time to head out doors and hit the dog park!
There’s something about fresh air that you just can’t beat. Anyone who has been to a dog park knows that dog parks are just as awesome for us as they are for our canines. Some of the nicest people hang out at the dog parks and it’s fun to connect with fellow dog lovers!
Going to a dog park is the perfect excuse to get out and be more active, for you and your dog!
Do you have a dog park near you?
To make sure more dog lovers are covered, Beneful has been helping build and upgrade dog parks since 2010, and 2016 is no exception! The Beneful Dream Dog Park Project has a goal of supporting at least 12 dog parks in the US this year.
Pretty cool! Just click here to meet the parks and see if there is one in your area!
Go enjoy your local dog park and don’t forget to say hi to the other dog lovers while you’re there!
Also, another fun idea, did you know that you can take a mini pool with you to the dog park? I haven’t done it yet but my sister was telling me about it after she saw someone do it at her dog park. All you need is a small kiddie pool and you can fill it when you get there. When you’re done empty the water, deflate and let your dog dry off in the sun before you head home.

Please read this with an open mind. I understand Beneful is a sponsor of yours, but for the sake of your pet, and other pet owners who look to you for guidance, consider doing your own research into the brand and possibly seeking a new sponsor.
A family friends dog almost died after switching to Beneful dog food. The dog once friendly and gentle became aggressive, while losing so much weight he was barely able to stand. They were lucky enough to determine the Beneful dog food was the cause of their dog’s symptoms.
After this happened our friend was outraged. Here she thought she was feeding her dog great food. The dog seemed to love it. She didn’t know thats because it is sprayed with animal fat. She had no knowledge of how dog food is monitored, just assumed like our food that dog food had to be held to certain health standards.
These Beneful pet foods allegedly contain substances that are toxic to animals, including:
Propylene glycol, an antifreeze component and known animal toxin that is poisonous to cats and dogs. There are claims that the maker of Purina Beneful knew or should have known that the FDA has prohibited propylene glycol from being used in cat foods because the company also makes these products; however, the company continues to use the potentially dangerous ingredient in its dog foods.
Mycotoxins, a group of toxins that are produced by fungus that occurs in grains. It has been alleged that dangerous levels of mycotoxins have been found during testing conducted on Purina Beneful Original.
Perhaps some dogs, like some humans, have stronger stomach than some and are unaffected. Maybe some bags have higher amounts than others depending on where they were produced. It’s hard to say. All I know is that I personally would not be comfortable choosing a food for my dog knowing it had caused extreme adverse reactions and even death in other dogs. That’s a risk I would not be willing to take on my best friend. I would feel so guilty if the brand I recommended to someone caused illness, pain, suffering or death in their companion.
Please do some research, then make your own decision. Do what you feel is best for Trigger. I truly am saying this out of concern. I am not a veterinarian, just a concerned dog Mom. I’ve never fed my dogs Beneful, I’ve always opted for a grain free option with a higher quality brand. I really don’t want to see anyone go through what that family did. :ĺ
