My child is an iPhone pro — she can turn it on, slide to unlock it, open the apps and play her games likes it’s nobody’s business. It’s a necessary evil, that provides much needed breaks for me when we’re at a restaurant, waiting at a doctor’s office, or I need to minute to cook dinner in peace. She’s also a mini phone wrecker but in those moments I don’t care.
Thanks OtterBox for sponsoring this post and helping save my phone.
Before I was a mom I swore I wouldn’t be one of those moms that gave my child my phone but then real life happened and I’m ok with that. Sometimes in life you can’t win every single battle and there’s no reason to feel guilty about it instead accept the stage of life you’re in, keep it as balanced as you can and move on to the more important battles like character, behaviors, etc.
As I think over this past week, it’s amazing how many places my phone has went and how many crazy things it’s been through.
A day in the life of my phone:
Morning Alarm— what, again, was that thing called that we used before cell phones?!
Park day with friends.
My daughter’s accessory for the day.
The poor phone, may or may not have been run over — thankfully it was the mini-car.
Dropped 3 dozen times — I really can’t help it, I’m not a clumsy person but when it comes to my phone there’s something “slippery” about it.
Keeping me social — respond to texts, check my email, browse Facebook and find a dinner inspiration on Pinterest.
Play some music — dance while it’s on.
Lost several times — once under a pile of toys, once deep in the couch crevice and a few times accidentally left in the car.
Seriously, what did we do before iPhones?
How Will Your Phone Break? Take the Quiz!
I recently took this hilarious quiz on how my phone would break! And the results were surprisingly and embarrassingly accurate. Or at least I’m 99% it’s going to come true.
I’ve already broke 2 phones beyond repair and I’d really rather that number not go up. Which brings up my new dilemma — how to keep my new phone safe when my toddler and I are both busy, high energy, accidentally destructive people.
It was time to try an OtterBox! I’d heard amazing things about their cases for YEARS and YEARS, I knew I needed one eventually but it wasn’t until recently that I officially tried it out for my phone. The Defender case is perfect for me and my daughter — a durable, multi-layer case with rugged protection.
