That moment.
This afternoon I was reminded how precious life is. Hearing the story of a parent who lost a child unexpectedly. My eyes filled up with tears, as I looked down at my own sweet girl and allowed the words he said next to really sink in deep:
“Don’t take these young years for granted. Enjoy every moment of their little life.”
I just thought I’d pass along the reminder, to step away from all the distractions today and really soak in our kids.
That’s it. Go and be present.
This boy’s legacy lives on in the simple, but powerful, reminder to not miss the moments we have.
Editor’s Note:
This has intentionally been left short and sweet, so we can snuggle and play with our kids instead, something as simple as playing with cars, reading a book, baking cookies together, or even just letting the kids choose.

Just looking at my son’s pictures from a few months ago reminds me of how quickly time is passing. Love this message!

I am guilty of not taking the time to really get down on my children’s level and just be with them. I get too wrapped up in what I think needs to get done around the house, among other things. I loved reading this post because I definitely feel like I needed to read this and recognize the sheer importance of it. So, thank you for posting something us mommas should already know well but in reality don’t. I am going to take this advice and run with it today as soon as my little ones wake up. After all, what else really matters as much as they do??!!

I think that so easily happens to all of us moms! We can only try our best and treat each day like a brand new opportunity to show our kiddos just how much we truly love them. After all, the chores and to-do lists will always be there. Sending you positive energy and love as you tackle this thing called parenthood!
