This afternoon I was reminded how precious life is. Hearing the story of a parent who lost a child unexpectedly. My eyes filled up with tears, as I looked down at my own sweet girl and allowed the words he said next to really sink in deep:
“Don’t take these young years for granted. Enjoy every moment of their little life.”
I just thought I’d pass along the reminder, to step away from all the distractions today and really soak in our kids.
That’s it. Go and be present.
This boy’s legacy lives on in the simple, but powerful, reminder to not miss the moments we have.
This has intentionally been left short and sweet, so we can snuggle and play with our kids instead, something as simple as playing with cars, reading a book, baking cookies together, or even just letting the kids choose.

“My oldest is with my husband “helping” him redo his parents’ bathroom. This requires a great deal of patience from him. However, after reading (this), there’s nothing else he’d rather be doing.” ~ Kirsten
