Easy Layered Pound Cake
Ingredients
- Sara Lee® All Butter Pound Cake
- Strawberries
- Chocolate hazelnut spread
- Whipped Cream
Directions
1. Pull your Sara Lee® All Butter Pound Cake out of the freezer. Let it sit out for a few minutes, then slice it in half the long way.
2. Spread the chocolate hazelnut spread generously on one half.
3. Thinly slice your strawberries and layer on top.
At this point we were dying! Doesn’t it look amazing? We couldn’t wait till it was finished so we could all have a slice.
Add a second layer of chocolate hazelnut spread and strawberries if you want it extra sweet.
4. Sandwich your top back onto your dessert.
5. Top with whipped cream, slice and you’re done!
This was SO easy to make, looks super fancy and was a huge hit with everyone in our house!
After you fall in love with this recipe, grab an extra loaf of Sara Lee® All Butter Pound Cake to keep in your freezer for those times you need a dessert to wow guests, in a pinch.
You can find their pound cake in the freezer isle at Walmart.
Bonus: We used our extra strawberries to make “stuffed” strawberries.
Cut strawberries in half but leaving the stem area intact, to hold the 2 halves together. Spread some chocolate hazelnut spread inside and top with whipped cream.
Add these to a dessert platter, next to your layered pound cake, if you’re looking to impress your guests.
