7Â Fun Ways to Surprise Your Kids!
If you’ve read our ever popular post, 8 free ways to surprise your husband, you may recognize a few of these ideas. We tweaked a few of them with a Valentines spin and made them kid friendly!
1. Slip a Cute Note Inside a Balloon.
Love this idea from the Thinking Closet, I especially love the finishing touch of “Pop Me” on the outside of the balloon!
2. Bake Cookies in the Shape of X’s and O’s.
Everyone will love these home-baked cookies!
3. Mail a Card.
Address them in separate envelopes for each kiddo, add a stamp and mail them off to arrive back in a day or two! The kids will love checking the mailbox in anticipation!
You’ll have to plan ahead on this one if you’re planning it for Valentines Day!
4. Create a Sticky Note Heart.
Fill up all the sticky notes with characteristics that makes each of your kids one-of-a-kind.
Idea from Life Lives Here.
5. Hang Streamer Over Your Kid’s Door.
Ideas from Country Girl Gourmet.Â
6. Create a Balloon Avalanche.
Pick red, pink and white balloons for Valentines Day!
Idea from doitandhow.com.
7. Leave Surprises Under Their Pillows.
A sweet note + Horizon Fruit Snacks are perfect for this!

My 2 year old daughter saw me taking a picture of her surprise (oops! gotta be more stealthy next time) so she got her fun surprise a little early. So fair warnings moms and dads, surprising kids can be a little tricky sometimes!
Don’t stop with #7! Get the kids involved on surprising each other! Let them think of their own ideas or suggest one or two from the list above. Just don’t tell 2 kids the same ideas, you want them to be surprise and not know what’s coming.
