October Income Report!

Here’s my income report.

I start a blog to test if a stay-at-home mom could make money online “blogging.” I put blogging in quotes because blogging is totally different than what I used to think of it.

Last month, I made over $41,000 working part-time.

And I’ve made over $305,000 this year.

The awesome part about this particular side business (besides the fact it makes over full-time income with part-time hours) is that you’re creating PASSIVE income and can be done from ANYWHERE.

Here’s how I made over $40,000 blogging part-time last month…

OCTOBER INCOME REPORT:

There are tons of ways to make money blogging: advertisements, sponsored posts, affiliate income, products, etc. And that’s just to name a few! 

In October, I made $41,392 blogging PART-TIME. Here’s the breakdown…

Advertisement Income: $1708

Affiliate Income: $32,250

My Book—175 Best Date Ideas: $ 247

Our Course: $6710

Misc: $476

TOTAL: $41,392

Not to mention, I only work part-time on the blog. I try to keep it under 20 hours a week. 

Note: I set aside a percentage of all my income to pay taxes (usually between 15-30%), blog expenses and Facebook ads.

I think it’s fun to see the progress all in one place—so here is how much I’ve made since I first started the blog. And keep in mind, you can grow your income faster than I did.

Started a Blog…

I started The Realistic Mama blog in February of 2014. 

In 2014, I made $10,072 blogging part-time.

Year 2…

2015 Total Income: $79,511 blogging part-time.

Year 3…

2016 Total Income: $84,785 blogging part-time.

Not to mention, I took 3 months of “maternity leave” at the beginning of the year and we traveled a large portion of the year.

Year 4…

2017 Total Income: $83,158 blogging part-time

After traveling and living in an RV for 8 months, we finally settled back down in coastal North Carolina. Living near the beach had always been a dream of ours and blogging allows us to work from anywhere.

Year 5…

This Year So Far (January – October Income): $305,033

All Time Grand Total…

Since starting the blog, we’ve made $562,559 total blogging part-time.
