$3 a month is minuscule compared to how much you can make blogging. In fact, a year and a half after I started my blog, my blog was making enough my husband was able to quit his full time job! The blog is now our full-time income with part-time flexible hours. We’re also able to work from anywhere, we even took a 8 month RV adventure all over the United States and worked while we were on the road!

February Income Report Breakdown:

There are tons of ways to make money blogging! The most common ways are ads (Google Ads are fairly simple to set up when you first start), affiliate income (amazon affiliates, affiliate others’ ebooks, etc.), sponsored posts, your own products, etc. I’ve made money through all these streams and at different times I focus my time differently on each category. I recommend trying them and seeing what works best for you. When I first started I used to do more sponsored posts than I do now, lately I’ve been focusing on my own products more.

Here’s how I made $15,031 in February blogging part-time.

Advertisement Income:  $2215 (I stared on Google Ads but once I hit 100,000 pageviews a month I switched over to AdThrive)

Affiliate Income: $7391  (Affiliate income is when I recommend a product I love and when a reader makes a purchase I make a commission at no additional cost to them—it’s a win for everyone and fun)

Sponsored Posts and Sponsored Social Shares: $400

My Book—175 Best Date Ideas: $2291 (Creating my first book wasn’t as hard as a I though. I took some of my blog content on the subject, added some more and then self-published my first book with the help of Amazon Createspace)

Our Course: $2734

Misc.: $2.

TOTAL: $15,031

Not to mention, I only work part-time on the blog. I try to keep it under 20 hours a week.

Note: I do set aside a percentage of all my income to pay taxes and blog expenses. Blog expenses are so minimal compared to most businesses—it has been such a blessing.

My Thoughts On This Month:

I am super happy to have made over $15,000 last month, considering I only worked 20 (or less) hours a week—that is great income for our family!

I continue to be so thankful I took that first step and started a blog 4 years ago. February is our 4 year blog anniversary!

• April (As friends, family and readers saw our blog was supporting our family full-time even while we took time off, they started asking how we make money blogging, so we started publishing income reports and showing how to make money blogging and created a (free) tutorial on how to start a blog without tech knowledge ): $11,080
