I blinked and 3 months flew by.
Work. Laundry. Meal Planning. Cooking. Bills. Friends. I am pulled in every direction and all the while another day flies by and my little baby isn’t so little anymore.
I blinked and 3 months flew by.
That’s when it really hit me, I don’t even get a year. He is only a baby for a few short months. 3 of which are already gone. Gone.
Yes, I cherished the small moments but if I’m being honest I didn’t say “no” to enough. I let the nitty gritty of each day distract me from my little man.
But instead of looking backwards and wondering where time has gone, I can look forward and let “no” become my favorite word.
I might offend a friend…. but I made time for my baby. He won’t be a baby for long.
I might miss an opportunity… but there will always be more opportunities.
I might make a little less money… but imagine the money I will later be willing to pay to get these moment back.
I know I will blink again and another 3 months will fly by. I can’t slow it down but I will say “no” to more.

If they are offended they are NOT your friend! A FRIEND will understand, will offer to be part of it to be with you and share the experience. I was SO lucky to have good friends, now it’s time to BE one!

I whole heartedly agree with this post. My daughter is getting so big too fast. I’m going to risk the mess and take every minute possible to cherish these precious moments.
Thank you for the inspirational post. Well said;)
