In this house we are huge breakfast fans! Having breakfast together as a family is an easy way to have one more meal together each week even when schedules get busy. So, today I’m sharing one of our favorite breakfast ideas, you’re gonna love it because it only uses one “pan” which means clean up is easy-peasy!
One “Pan” Family Breakfast
Eating family meals together have so many benefits but often time they can also get stressful with all the cooking and cleaning. But not today! This breakfast idea is super easy and we’ve eliminated almost all the clean up by making everything on the griddle!
Ingredients:
- Hormel Kitchen Hash
- Eggs
- Pancake Batter
- Optional: Chocolate Chips & Blueberries
- Optional: Butter or Oil for the Griddle
Directions:
First, pancakes — Follow the package instructions to make your batter, just add water batter is one of my favorites for lazy mornings. Everyone can add their favorite toppings into their individual pancakes on the griddle. Two favorites in our house are chocolate chips and blueberries, sprinkle them into the uncooked batter. Wait till the pancakes start to bubble and are lightly brown and flip. Second, Mary Kitchen Hash — this was one of my favorites growing up and is a great way to fill your family’s breakfast table with timeless, home-cooked flavor. Rich in protein, quick and convenient! Add it to the griddle and let it cook until crispy!
Third, eggs — while the last batch of pancakes is cooking and the hash is almost done, crack a few eggs in the remaining corner of the griddle. We like to break our yokes and make “over hard” eggs but feel free to make whatever kind your family likes most! That’s it! Gather around the table as a family and enjoy not only a delicious breakfast but also some lighthearted family conversation and laughter. Note: We sometimes make this breakfast for dinner, it’s perfect for those nights we’re really busy or I completely forgot to plan ahead for dinner.
